The Quiet Things No One Ever Knows - Capto Weekly #17
Except you... Algorithms work in mysterious ways...
As a (small) team we’re on pace to have a total of 3-4 million annual impressions of our daily content on LinkedIn. However, we’ve pretty much given up on obsessing about engagement or for a tricky algorithm. We post what we enjoy - a mixture of - highlights from our daily discussions with Finance leaders, adventures building our business, spicy takes on headlines, and something to laugh about too.
Here’s an example why. Two weeks ago Alexis posted about our experience getting hit with $150 in AI processing costs for a single report... a simple cautionary tale for all CFOs!
On the surface a routine number of “likes” or comments - - yet not seen is the post was privately shared, saved, and viewed by tens of thousands!!!
...BTW, now we also see the topic of AI token spend accelerating within our network and client base.
Moral of the story. Don’t believe only what you see. Sometimes the most valuable updates are the ones your peers are consuming privately.

Here’s a list of all the things that happened NOT on LinkedIn. Our content slowed down a bit for good reasons.
