Capto turns 5 today...
5 highlights of a business built around a life
This is quite emotional for me to write this post this morning... 5 years already... We made it! I mean, we are not even close to our goals, but we survived haha
When you create a business, the first years, you wonder a few time if you will make it... there is so much to learn.
Anyway, I wanted to share 5 highlights, showing how we have all a unique journey, fitting our life and what these 5 years represent to me, the "CEO".
Year 1 Highlight: So first, thank you from the start to Marchela, co-founder of Capto. I wouldn't have had the confidence to start such a journey alone... but with the vision of an ACA expert from PwC, aligned with mine, about the issues to solve in Finance... Capto started on the 16th of April 2021 and few months later, we were in London, showing to businesses from the world what we had in mind.
Year 2 Highlight: The HQ... we didn't want to only do things differently in Finance but also in Business. Technology is changing and there is no reason anymore to not have an HQ in a City when your team can breath, focus, build, live better... that's when we decide to have our base in Bansko. A credit here to Nestwork Coworking for having a partner in that vision.
Year 3 highlight: Still building and very much learning... I kept on improving the way we build automation and AI Agents (not known at the time). We have a few clients at the time, a lot of success but also some failures (oops) but we learn and we are still working with all of them today! Credit to them from the deepest of my heart because I would not write this post without them today.
But one highlight I wanna share, the freedom... That year I bought a sailboat and started solo-sailing and since then I made HUGE realisation each time I was going working from the boat (aka "The Magic")
Year 4 highlight: When I was at PwC, I was a social "beast"... I was constantly trying to initiates things, creating connections and trying to move forward... A huge thanks to CCI France Bulgarie here because thanks to them, I started again connecting in-person and that initiated another phase of Capto... growth and a bigger vision!
Year 5 highlight: Full-throttle! We are at the end of that one, and I have many highlights but the TEAM, that is the highlight... we are remote but we know each other kids, wife/girlfriend, car projects and we have big dreams! Of course I want here to thank Lyubomir and Peter, my two partners who invest a big part of their life to scale Capto to a European leadership position & we are getting there! A lot of announcements are coming...
Before those announcements, I wanted to share with you a bit of the story and my emotion this morning... a mix of proudness, gratitude and excitment for the best that's yet to come! Stay tuned...
